Prohibited Items
Sultero is a marketplace for the strange, dark, and unusual — handmade goods from independent makers. Dark, eerie, and macabre themes are welcome; that's the point. This policy sets out the ordinary marketplace limits that keep everyone safe and legal. It is part of the vendor agreement every maker accepts at onboarding.

What's welcome
Gothic, horror, occult, oddities, and curiosities are core to Sultero, not exceptions. Taxidermy, bone, and natural curiosities are a legitimate and encouraged category — restricted only where the specific item is illegal to sell or ship (see protected species below). Listings must be for real, handmade or small-batch goods; no dropshipped, mass-produced, or AI-generated imitations.
Prohibited
The following may not be listed or sold on Sultero:
- Anything illegal to sell, buy, or ship under applicable federal, state, or local law.
- Weapons and regulated items — firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other items whose sale or shipment is legally restricted.
- Controlled substances, drugs, and drug paraphernalia.
- Counterfeit, replica, or IP-infringing goods, and unlicensed use of a third party's trademark, artwork, or likeness.
- Recalled or unsafe products, and items that fail applicable safety or labeling requirements.
- Hate or violent content — items that promote hatred, violence, or discrimination against people.
- Live animals.
- Human remains where their sale is prohibited by law.
- Protected-species and regulated wildlife goods — anything made from species protected under laws such as CITES, the Endangered Species Act, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, or the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act (for example, certain feathers, ivory, and specimens). Legal taxidermy and bone are welcome; illegal species are not.
- Hazardous materials that cannot be shipped lawfully or safely.
- Illegal sexual content of any kind, and — with zero tolerance — anything that sexualizes minors. Such material is removed and reported to the appropriate authorities.
Category-specific rules
- Occult, apothecary & wellness. Herbs, crystals, tarot, and ritual goods are welcome. No prohibited medical or health claims (for example "cures anxiety" or "treats" a condition), no regulated or controlled substances, and no ingestibles marketed with health claims.
- Taxidermy, bone & specimens. Welcome where legal; restricted only for the protected species noted above. Vendors are responsible for confirming legality before listing.
Enforcement
Vendor listings are reviewed against this policy, and non-compliant listings are removed. Repeat or serious violations result in vendor suspension or permanent termination and, where the law requires, a report to the appropriate authority.
Last updated August 2026. Draft pending legal review. The protected-species and taxidermy provisions in particular are being reviewed with counsel before launch.
